Year 10 - Physical Education PE for Girls and Boys: Stay Active

Stay Active- Sequence

Work through the Term 3 booklet completing topics as students progress.

1. Fundamental Motor Skills- use photocopied booklets put together (in hard copy). Also complete video analysis prac activity.

2. Fitness Components- use powerpoint and give crossword h/w task

    Fitness Tests- use the fitness tests powerpoint and required materials

3. Training Principles- teacher instruction and clickview video

4. Training Methods- Prezi

5. Energy Systems- use photocopied booklets and clickview video

6. Biomechanics- use photocopied booklets and clickview video

FMS

FMS Practical Activity

Students are to get into pairs or groups of three and use their phone to video each person completing the following FMS: catch, vertical jump and leap. Once back in the classroom, get students to analyze their technique using the tick off sheets provided. Then show them the following Youtube videos to see how it should be done.

During prac classes, students will teach the rest of the class a 30 minute lesson of the sport of their choice.

They will need to complete a lesson plan and submit this before they teach their lesson.
