The DaintreeToday only a few of the rainforests which covered Australia millions of years ago remain. The Daintree with its thousands of different plants, birds and animals is one of the richest of these rainforests. This program looks at how the Daintree survived the earth's climatic changes, and at how it is sustained. The program also looks at the importance of the forest to the Ku Ku Yalangi Aboriginal people, and in general its resource and tourism values.
